Niger Delta Avengers (NDA)
The so-called Niger Delta Avengers militant group operating in
the Niger Delta has sent an open letter to President Muhammadu Buari,
in which it is making some demands.
The NDA’s demands include a genuine and positive attitude to restructuring and self-determination for every component unit of Nigeria.
The NDA said it decided to suspend its attacks on oil and gas installations in the Niger Delta, having listened carefully to appeals from all quarters.
However; the NDA said the ongoing military operations in the creeks of the Niger Delta communities appear to be a pre-determined mission to commit genocide in the region.
The NDA called on President Buhari not to act like a stooge for those it described as imperialists, whenever he travels out of the country for international assignment.
The letter noted that the great countries of the world such as Japan, Germany, France, USA and Britain have accommodated internal protestations and conflicts for the greater good of their nations over the years.
